The Gauls in the Rhone valley: friends or ennemies ?

Iniciado por : Collège Condorcet – Nîmes, France

Hannibal Barca crossed the Rhone at Roquemaure in 218 BC. This crossing took place during the Second Punic War. Before reaching Italy, Hannibal had to overcome a major obstacle: the Rhone River, which was wide, fast-moving, and often difficult to cross, especially with an army of over 40,000 men, horses, and war elephants.
